In a world-first, a Random Souths Guy has been spotted at a huge international meeting today.

The spotting of the infamous sporting character came at the Quad meeting in Tokyo.

The Quadrilateral Security Dialogue [Quad] is a group of four democratic countries (Australia, India, Japan and the United States), and is an organisation formed to try and create a free and open Indo-Pacific region.

Taking place in Japan’s capital, this meeting is set to discuss all manner of things, including China’s security agreement with the Solomon Islands and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

However, while those serious matters are set to feature at the forefront, it’s the appearance of a cult icon that has got tongues wagging back on Australian soil.

Famous for appearing at international sporting events all over the world, the Random Souths Guy has been broadcast at Ping Pong events in Korea, all the way to Super Bowls in America.

Despite the widespread appearances of the Random Souths Guy, this is believed to be the first time one has appeared at a diplomatic meeting featuring global leaders.

It’s not yet known how or why the Random Souths Guy is at the meeting, but it’s believed he has been pleading with US President Joe Biden to find a way to get Adam Reynolds to break his contract with the Brisbane Broncos.

While that was met with confusion, Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is open to the idea of global intervention, but wants to explore other options first.

More to come.
