Defence Lobbyist Behind $368 Billion Arms Deal Weirdly Trying To Drum Up Fear Around China

A high profile military industrial complex employee has this week made sure to push the case for his industry.

Scott Morrison, the bloke who used to be in charge of running Australia (with which he had much disdain for the actual running part), has fronted the United States Congress to run his mouth about his own country.

Currently working in a couple of very well paying roles for defence companies that may or may not have been a fan of Morrison’s 368 billion dollar AUKUS deal – the great man explained Australia is ‘going to sleep on China over diplomatic flattery.’

He also explained that China is ‘weaponising trade’ – seemingly ignoring the fact that the United States is currently waging the biggest trade war with the rest of the world in living memory.

That trade war has seen Australia heavily effected, despite Scotty deliberately starting a fight with China during the spicy cough era in an effort to cosy up to America.

Morrison also went on to explain that Australia had been ‘punished for its loyalty to America.’

His push to drum up fear around China, and of course drum up spending around the defence industry, has been applauded by the usual crowd.

“Yeah, we need to increase our spending on weapons by at least another 2% GDP,” explained some war hawk who moonlights as a ‘columnist’ for a legacy media publication.

“I’m glad Scott Morrison is speaking up for national security, and not self interest.”

“We need loyal allies, and that’s what America is.”

“Someone who doesn’t threaten to pull out of alliances or punish us with unfair trade restrictions.”

Scott Morrison was contacted for comment, but weirdly refused to provide one.

More to come.
