A woman piling wonky fruit and veg into an old fruit box was seen arrogantly walking around the Betoota Sands IGA this afternoon, it has been confirmed.
Witnesses say the woman, who The Advocate later identified as artist Skye Trellor, was not even trying to hide her judgement as she scowled at regular people for using the store provided plastic baskets and paper shopping bags.
“I know she’s all high and mighty because she’s using an old box and buying ugly fruit, but I saw her rock up in her petrol guzzling BMW X5. She’s not fooling me.” Said one witness.
The Advocate tracked Trellor to her nearby home, where she was ferrying her cardboard-box groceries inside while leaving her BMW idling in the driveway.
When asked why she thought she was better than everyone else for using ratty old fruit boxes for her groceries instead of perfectly ok paper bags, Toller unleashed.
“Paper packaging uses 3 billion trees a year, and if you think I’m ok contributing to that YOU’RE WRONG!”
“AND WHOEVER SAID ME CARRYING MY GROCERIES IN A BOX WAS PERFORMATIVE THEY’RE WRONG TOO!”
At this point our reporter slowly backed away from Trellor, who was clearly harbouring some unaddressed identity issues.
More to come.
