A wave of repulsion washed over Genevieve Baker this afternoon after she was asked to select a meal from Jetstar’s in-flight menu. While it wasn’t the ask in itself that caused her to vomit in her own mouth, the overly glossy yet somehow stale looking egg sandwich did.

Through shielded eyes Baker attempted to navigate the webpage, however she couldn’t proceed with her booking until she made a selection.

It was at this point that she called Jetstar customer service and, after repeatedly shouting ‘OPERATOR’ into her phone, was transferred to a real human being, Baker explains.

“After I questioned why on earth they even served egg sandwiches on a metal tube with no fresh air flow, I said there has to be a way to get rid of them”

“So, I actually paid to buy up all of the egg sandwiches so that no one on the flight even had the option”

Baker is booked on Jetstar flight JQ9223 from Betoota to the Sunshine Coast, so it is advised that anyone wanting an egg sandwich on that flight to please either take a good hard look at yourself and ask why, or get a pie like a normal person.

More to come.
