Woman Gets The Major Ick After Learning Her Date Actually Posts on LinkedIn

A local woman has revealed she immediately got the major “ick” after learning that her date actually posts on LinkedIn.

Clara Chen (25) a high school teacher, went on a date with Tom Gunn (29) a strategy consultant. The date seemed promising, with flowing conversation over a plate of overpriced kingfish ceviche at a bistro in the French Quarter. But it wasn’t until Clara got home, that things took a turn.

“I mean, the date was fine, but there was just something about him. He seemed a bit…corporate if you know what I mean,” said Clara, shaking her head. “So, naturally, I had to stalk, I mean I hit the usual information sources, his mum’s Facebook, his high school rowing stats but then I found the most cringe thing… his LinkedIn.”

“I almost gagged,” she confessed.

“Thrilled to be driving breakthrough results as a strategy consultant, helping organisations unlock growth and innovate for the future!’ Rocket emoji, hashtag growth mindset” Clara read aloud with exaggerated cadence, mocking Tom.

Clara admits she “couldn’t unsee it,” and the ick set in hard.

“I thought, ‘Do I really want to date someone who spends their weekends posting about ‘synergy’ to randoms on LinkedIn ?’” she said. “I just… can’t. I’m not even texting him back.”

Sources close to Tom confirm he was busy crafting a LinkedIn post called ‘What being ghosted taught me about B2B sales”.
