Divorce, redundancy, and even murder are all good reasons for a person to take a long hard look at themselves and question their life choices.
One thing you wouldn’t expect to elicit this kind of self-reflection is being polite. Yet that is exactly what Alexandra Witfall (27) found herself doing as she liaised with an AirBnb host.
“My friends and I are so looking forward to a getaway! Your home looks beautiful and like the perfect place for a group of introverted school friends to cosy up and read books to each other” read the message Witfall sent to the host of a home on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
While this may sound like an appropriate message, it’s understood that Witfall and her school friends are not the introverts she describes. Rather, a bunch of margarita-drinking woo girls who just discovered ketamine.
“It’s like I was having an out of body experience, watching myself type with such sweetness”
“I did not like it,” she explains to The Advocate.
Witfall says she plans to maintain the façade until check-in day, before swiftly reverting to her true self the moment the keys are handed over.
More to come.
