Wallabies Move Into Outright Favoritism For World Cup After Beating Full Strength Springboks With 11 Men

The men in Green and Gold are walking into the week with a newfound expectation on their shoulders.

This comes after the Wallabies hurtled into outright favoritism for next year's World Cup, following a stunning win over the two time current World Champion Springboks.

Facing a full strength Springboks team who had come off the back of an easy warm up 4 Test series against the All Blacks, the Wallabies comfortably dusted the reigning title holders without breaking a sweat.

Not only did they put 42 points on the Bokke, but they managed to the get the W against all odds, with just 11 men on the field in the dying stages.

The stunning victory that was never in doubt, actually did come in the face of a trio of officials who genuinely hate Australian Rugby, which manifested into things like incorrect yellow cards for offside.

It also came amidst the backdrop of a rather interesting guerrilla marketing stunt from Optus at their stadium, with the referee talking to the TMO via iPhone for the duration of the game.

The objectively hilarious running out of the phone for the ref to talk to the TMO while looking at the big screen has since seen Optus marketing execs already nominated for a Cannes Lion.

It's unknown whether the new state of the art video review system will be used next year.

However, it is now known that the Wallabies are now the hot favourites to win it all.

More to come.
