The Victorian government is weighing up a major justice overhaul, eager to help its young offenders reach the same professional standards as their counterparts in NSW.
The Victorian government is seeking to implement adult jail sentences for children aged 14, after years of Sydney crims saying that Melbourne crooks aren't as cut throat as them.
"It's time for the state government of Victoria to finally start taking the toughness of our criminals seriously, for too long our gangsters have been overshadowed by criminals from Sydney and the Gold Coast" explained one spokesperson for the Victorian government.
"We believe locking up kids at the age of 14 with adult length sentences will give them the opportunity to finally learn and become the best criminals they can possibly be" he added.
The Victorian government has welcomed the stressed warnings of experts claiming that entering the system at such a young age, and for so long, is a recipe for disaster.
"We are delighted to hear just how destructive these new laws will be for young people all over the state"
The spokesperson added that while the reforms may not reduce crime, they would at least help Victoria stay competitive in the national underworld.
He concluded by assuring the public that, with enough time behind bars, these kids will finally give NSW a run for their money.
