Venezuela Officaly Recognises Nightwatchman’s ‘Strong And Stable’ Government

Just weeks after Scott Morrison took time out of his busy schedule to officially recognise Juan Guaido as the legitimate winner of the recent Venezuelan elections, his South American counterpart has done the same.

This afternoon local time, Juan Guaido phoned Scott Morrison to praise our nation’s strong and stable government – despite a number of frontbenchers resigning or retiring from politics since last August.

“Congratulations to Scott Morrison and his government,” said Guaido at a press conference after the call.

“I look forward to working with him and his strong and stable government long into the future. The relationship between our two countries can only get strong from here.”

The Advocate’s requests for comment from the Liberal Party over the news has yet to be responded to.

However, a spokesman from Labor was more than happy to point out that Scott had made a mistake here but couldn’t exactly tell our reporter what that mistake was.

More to come.
