A 4 year relationship has hit the rocks due to a disgusting build up of used contact lenses next to the bathroom sink.
Adrian Billup (33) and Miranda Wey (30) first met 4 years ago at a mutual friend’s wedding and since then have had a loving and healthy partnership. However as their relationship grew stronger, Adrian’s short sightedness grew weaker, leading him to wear daily contact lenses.
While Miranda was supportive of Adrian not wearing glasses at first, she didn’t realise the gross consequences of contact lens wearing.
“I’ll be the first to admit that Adrian doesn’t have that Jonathan Bailey glasses look, you know?” Miranda told the Advocate.
“When he said he was going to get contacts, I thought perfect, how could things go wrong?”
But Adrian started to pick up a habit of taking his contacts out after a long day, popping them on the bathroom sink and due to their invisible nature, being unable to see where he put them down.
“I go to wash my face and accidentally touch them, it’s fucking rank” Miranda told our reporter.
“There’s like 14 on the sink at this very moment, come on I’ll show you.”
Miranda took our reporter to the scene of the crime where as she said there were 14 individual contacts stuck to the sink.
“After a while they actually glue themselves to the surface.”
“This isn’t the only place they are, you should see his bedside table.”
“Anyway, I’ve packed his bags, they’re waiting by the door.”
