A man that’s looking for a job, who’s being interviewed by a business that needs an employee, has been forced to explain why he is applying for the job.
“Isn’t it kind of self explanatory? Like isn’t me being at this interview enough of an answer?” Said Louis Harper, moments after his interview.
The 27 year old, who claims the interview for the local bottle shop started off strong, says the final question about why he’s applying for the job definitely threw him off.
“So I know I can’t actually be honest and tell them I need money, so I had to think on my feet”
“All I could of saying was that I really enjoy drinking.”
“I think the manager interviewing me thought I was joking, so I guess it could’ve been worse” admitted Louis.
He says he quickly pivoted to some bullshit about “wanting to grow within the retail liquor industry.”
“I don’t even know what that means, but it sounds legit I guess”
Louis says he also tried to drop words like ‘passionate’, ‘team player’, and ‘customer-facing’ like his mum told him too the day before.
“At one point I think I mentioned I’d always dreamed of working next to a fridge full of Suntory 196”
The interview ended with a firm handshake and a vague “we’ll be in touch”
