“You Must Be Fun At Parties,” Says Young Liberal To Feminist

A politically-active young man has faced off with his natural predator this afternoon at the Betoota Shire Council offices, where despite being cornered and afraid, managed to get off a classic insult.

David Greenbauer is 20-year-old policy intern at the Mayor’s office. His father is Roger Greenbauer, who has developed a number of properties in the Betoota Local Government Area in the past.

After lunch today, he ran into Florence Stains. Florence is a feminist.

As the agent-provocateur slash Devil’s advocate he is, David knows that and often takes time out of his busy day to ‘rib’ Florence about her identity politics and social conscience.

He’s intimidated by her because she reminds him of his Mum, who in turn agrees with Florence’s assessment that David is a softcock.

There’s a history between these two, they don’t like each other.

“Did you see the new stimulus from the government?” David asked Florence as they waited for the lift.

“Yeah, more jobs for the boys,” she said.

“Why can’t they stimulate industries that employ mostly women like they do with men? Where’s equality?”

Left without any real answer, David told Florence that she needs to switch off sometimes and that she must be fun at parties.

Then without prompt, David explained the last party he went to.

He and some friends tried a number of different Scotches, as recommended by Andrew Bolt.

None of them got too pissed.
