Workmate’s Partner Mistakes Karaoke As An Opportunity To Assert Alpha Status

Work parties – a time for staff to bond, memories to be made and for potential HR nightmares to arise.

Or for local woman Natalie Holt’s partner, an opportunity to assert his status as the alpha male.

It’s alleged staff members of a local accounting firm, ‘Swerve Accountants’ had been invited out to a drinks and karaoke night, with the invitations being extended to partners.

Though Natalie had innocently assumed the night would be a good opportunity to showcase her new beau Adam, she’d, unfortunately, failed to factor in his flamboyant personality or the fact that he’d once dreamed of attending WAAPA.

What should have been a fun night of drunkenly stumbling through Eminem songs was soon cut short when Adam took the microphone, putting on ‘Love is all around’ by Wet Wet Wet.

“I feel it in my fingeeeerrs.”

“I feel it in my tooooes.”

According to Nat’s workmates, Adam was a little bit too serious with his singing and allegedly even went around the room touching peoples hands, like he was Bono at a concert.

“YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU, I ALWAYS WILLLLLLL.”

“MY MIND’S MADE UP BY THE WAY THAT I FEEEEEEL.”

It’s reported that everyone soon made excuses to leave the booth and that Natalie was later seen walking away in a stony silence.

More to come.
