Woman With A Big Event On Saturday Desperately Trying To Resist The Friday Arvo Wine Itch

A woman who has a massive weekend ahead of her is desperately trying to resist the Friday afternoon wine itch, as her stomach is simply not strong enough to do two heavy days of drinking in a row anymore.

Though she doesn’t think about booze at all during the week, Annie Parker, 28,  admits that ‘something happens to her brain’ as soon as it hits 4pm on a Friday.

However, seeing as she has a bottomless brunch scheduled for 2pm tomorrow, Annie says she’s trying her hardest to resist tucking into a big ‘ole glass of pinot when she finishes up at work.

“It’s like clockwork. Every Friday afternoon I’m just fanging for a glass of wine”, says Annie, who is noticeably jittery, “but if I have one I’ll probably have another.”

“I simply don’t have the fortitude to back it up though.”

Annie says she’s unsure if it’s because work has been a bit hectic this week, or because she’s pavloved herself into having these urges.

“Hmm, maybe I can get a bottle of wine my roomie might have some with me?”

“Hopefully she’s home.”
