In some welcome news for the handful of long suffering rugby union fans in Australia, it appears as though the national team is going to win the upcoming World Cup.

This comes after a stunning victory over the two-time defending champions the Springboks, in South Africa.

Flailing to a trade-mark 22-0 deficit, the Wallabies somehow mustered up a miraculous comeback victory to put 38 unanswered points on the hapless Jarpies.

With the likes of Tom Wright and Joseph Sua’ali’i dazzling in the backs, and the forwards mincing the big brai boys for fun, the Wallabies beat South Africa in South Africa for the first time in 14 years.

The stunning victory left a small number of people wishing they hadn’t thrown the remote away in disgust and gone to bed at half time, with the Wallabies down 22-5.

It’s also left a larger amount of camouflaged Wallabies fan beginning to feel like maybe it’s time to get hurt again.

“Yeah, when you think about it, we win the World Cup on home soil in 2 years time,” said one local Wallabies fan.

“We just smoked the World Champions on their home turf.”

“And we dusted the best combined team from 4 of the 5 dangerous Northern Hemisphere teams.”

“Like we lost the series, but we actually won it given that bullshit call in game 2.”

“So England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland are no threat.”

“All Blacks aren’t what they used to be, and the French are unable to win a Rugby World Cup.”

“So really, it’s ours to lose now.”

“Exciting times.”
