The latest advertising campaign from HexClad has come out strong with a claim that has left one amateur cook doubting its credibility.
The HexClad pan claims to be ‘the last pan you’ll ever need’, which is a strong single-minded proposition, however Josie Hay (27) thinks they may have underestimated just how inept she is at cooking.
“I don’t think they understand…”
“There’s not one meal I’ve prepared in there that I haven’t forgotten about and then burned.”
It’s believed Hay’s modus operandi is to turn on a pan, then go complete a chore that takes way longer than the time it takes for the pan to heat up, and return to find the pan a red-hot smoking mess.
“Don’t get me started on trying to follow the specific care instructions.. I don’t even know why they have those, who is following them?”
“Is it wrong to pour water on a still scorchingly hot pan? I don’t know. Does anyone?”
Perhaps realising there are more Josie Hays’ in the world, HexClad have since updated their website to add in a little more wriggle room, with the cookware specialists now claiming their pan is “almost indestructible”.
More to come.
