Opposition leader Sussan Ley has continued her attacks on the Prime Minister after spotting him enjoying a cold beer and going to a local music gig.

“This simply isn’t what Australians want in a leader, drinking on the job is absolutely irresponsible and Rock’N’Roll music has a litany of offensive characters floating around” explained the opposition leader while holding her finger directly on the pulse of Australian society.

This comes only a few days after Sussan Ley highlighted Albanese’s decision to deboard a plane wearing a Joy Division band shirt, which everyone knows is a reference to Nazi war crimes.

Political analysts say the Opposition has now entered a bold new phase of strategy known as the “find something normal that the PM did and tell everyone it is a national scandal”.

The tactic appears to involve identifying everyday endearing behaviour enjoyed by millions of Australians and insisting it is incompatible with public office.

In a press conference this morning, Ley expanded on her concerns.

“Next he will be at a pub trivia night or singing Daryl Braithwaite at karaoke like some sort of common person. Where does it end?” she said while her staff nodded solemnly.

Sources within the Liberal Party say the hope is to position Albanese as too relatable, a risky brand for a nation that famously punished Bob Hawke for sculling a beer by making him the most popular former Prime Minister in living memory.

Voters are reportedly confused, asking whether the Opposition has any policies beyond monitoring the Prime Minister’s weekend plans.
