Queensland Woman Happy To Cheer For Her Home State Again

A local woman is relieved that she’s finally able to cheer for a Queenslander again as the State of Origin kicks off tonight, having spent the past several months hoping one didn’t win the federal election, it’s reported.

Speaking to our reporter over a lukewarm Stone and Wood, Phillipa ‘Pip’ Evans, 34, admits that the past few months have been a very confusing time to be a state patriot, as she found herself hoping that the bloke from her home state would be beaten by a Sydneysider for the first time in her life.

This is of course referring to Marrickville born Anthony Albanese, who crushed Brisbane born Peter Dutton in the recent federal election.

But now, Pip’s is once again ready to obnoxiously scream “QUEEENSLAANDER” at the top of her lungs with full force just as nature intended.

“Look, the majority of the shit cunt politicians might be from Queensland, but so are some of the best Rugby players.”

“And the best lookin’ ones too, hahaha.”

More to come.
