As the world teeters on the edge, Europe has moved to an even higher state of alert.

This follows the shooting down of Russian drones that had made an incursion into Polish air space.

The Polish prime minister Donald Tusk said the nation’s military had shot down the drones after repeated violations of its airspace during an attack on Ukraine.

Tusk told parliament it was “the closest we have been to open conflict since World War II.”

Be he also said he had “no reason to believe we’re on the brink of war,” – so make of that what you will.

It’s left the rest of the world wondering what Russia’s next move is, and what this means for the people of Ukraine.

It’s also left the rest of the world asking how the Poles were able to shoot down the Russian drones, given they aren’t exactly famous for being the most technologically advanced country in the world.

However, the Polish Military have revealed the equipment used to bring down the Russian Raiders, posting images of what looks to be a pretty mad Potato Cannon.

“Yes, this is what we call the Katsapy Dronzappy,” said Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz a spokesperson for the Polish military.

“It is a state of the art potato cannon that can hit a drone from over 30 metres away.”

“And we will never ever run out of ammunition.”

“Fuck the Russians.”

“Can I say this?”

More to come.
