Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has revealed her confusion this morning as other state premiers around the country have politely declined the opportunity to score some political points against her by slamming their borders closed to Queensland.

In Victoria, the state’s defacto leader Daniel Andrews said that while his government suggests reconsidering travel to Brisbane, he’s not telling people they can’t go.

Reactions in Sydney have also been muted with New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian deciding to keep the border open to Queenslanders despite Queensland being off-limits to Sydneysiders.

The rest of the state premiers have said something else along those lines. Whoever runs Canberra reminded Queenslanders that they are free to visit whenever they want.

Speaking to this masthead today, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said she left hurt and let down by the other state premiers today.

“I gave them the best chance to dunk on me and they’ve just shown Queensland understanding and kindness,” she said.

“What the fuck is wrong with them?”

More to come.
