Chins are wagging around Canberra and the broader political sphere this week, as a couple of major franchises eye a bombshell move.

Breaking Friday afternoon, whispers emerged that The Nationals and One Nation are consider a massive trade.

Since confirmed over the weekend by a number of sources, Barnaby Joyce has become the centre of a huge potential two way move.

One Nation has revealed that they are offering two send two future first round picks, in exchange for the ageing veteran Barnaby Joyce, and a conditional fourth round pick on the other side of 2030.

The move comes after Barnaby has agitated relentlessly inside the Nationals franchise, in what now seems a deliberate policy to get himself out of the club.

The former 2 time Deputy Prime Minister and mouth running backbencher had previously announced his decision not to contest the seat of the New England at the next election, paving the way for a potential senate tilt.

It has since been confirmed that Joyce’s agent has spoken to the owner of the One Nation franchise, in a huge move that could shake up the very fabric of the league.

Joyce has remained relatively tight lipped for his own standards, saying he has spoken to Pauline but nothing is confirmed yet.

Many are now set to eagerly watch the Instagram stories of Barnaby Joyce, his current team-mates and potential new teammates to see whether the whole thing will explode.

More to come.
