Next Game Wins Says Queensland

The great state of Queensland is today licking its wounds, after a rather tough Thursday night.

Heading down to the RM capital of the country (Sydney Football Stadium), the Queensland Maroons were unable to turn their Game One State of Origin defeat around.

Despite scoring the first try of a rather interesting bunker decision, the Maroons weren’t able to kick on, with the Blues grinding and grinding away to a 26-6 win.

The large margin came despite horrendous conditions, and TECHNICALLY secured the Blues a series victory.

That technicality means NSW secure their first ever 3 game series win.

However, despite the ink drying on the historic victory, Queensland has confirmed that things aren’t done and dusted.

“Nah, next game wins,” said local Betoota Heights resident Tarryn Upton this morning.

“Off to Newy to finish on a high note.”

“To settle down 20,000 rabid Novacastrians to finish up the year of Origin.”

Upton then lost it when asked whether Queensland does not in fact get Origin.

More to come.
