Millennial Couple Betray Friendship Circle And Actually Buy A Home

A group of young people are in mourning today as two of their friends publicly renounced their generation and actually purchased a home.

Australian millennials have some of the world’s lowest rates of property ownership with just 30% being homeowners compared 54% of Gen Xers and 68% of Baby Boomers.

Defying the odds, millennial couple Amanda and Vincent Clissold purchased an apartment in Betoota’s French Quarter after years of saving and filing legally grey tax returns.

Upon announcing their upcoming move via a three hour Instagram story the couple featured on their shared account, the two were quickly branded as gen-traitors by their friendship group made up of their closest friends.

“I can’t believe they’re turning their back on us like this,” stated close friend Annabelle Morris as she hate-watched the aforementioned Instagram story for the eighth time.

“I can already see them voting Liberal. I can already hear them supporting their tax dollars being used on a first-class flight.”

Morris states she was surprised by her friend’s announcement but not shocked as purchasing a home is just the latest move in a string of generation defying behaviour.

“I caught them listening to an AM radio station once. When she took his last name, I should have known.”

MORE TO COME.
