A famous local restaurant owner is making waves around the country today.

This comes after the owner of Le Cockpool revealed the books for his chain of restaurants in Betoota today.

The incredibly transparent books have confirmed his unbelievable claims that he actually has been paying the award rate, overtime and the correct superannuation contributions.

That revelation follows more allegations of wage theft in the hospitality industry, with Sydney based Rockpool allegedly pinching 10 million worth of workers money.

“Yeah, my business has been quite successful,” explained owner of Le Cockpool George Perry.

“I got ripped off as a young fella, and I always promised that I’d make sure I’d always pay my workers the right amount,” said Perry.

“So I actually just pay my workers what they are entitled too.”

“Weird, I know.”

Perry then explained that he had been contacted by Masterchef to appear on the show as a judge, but had almost immediately been turned down after they realised he was running correct books.
