PEPSI FOR YOUR ICE?: In some much needed good news, it can be reported that the Los Angeles protests have finally come to a standstill without the need of further intervention from the national guard troops and marines, as social media personality Kendall Jenner came to the rescue.

Los Angeles erupted into chaos on the 6th of June, as Trump ordered ICE agents to start making mass deportations of undocumented immigrants.

LA Mayor Karen Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom have accused President Trump of overstepping his powers by sending in the military.

The use of military against civilian protests is not only largely seen as unethical, but also not an effective measure in restoring peace, as there are many historical cases where military presence at protests has escalated into violence and death.

One of the most famous cases in the US is the 1970 Kent State University shooting, where the Ohio national guard were called to disperse a crowd of roughly 300 students protesting against the US’s involvement in the Vietnam war.

When tear gas failed, the national guard turned to violence, killing nine students and wounding many others. Not only were students shot, but also stabbed with bayonets.

However, Jenner was this morning able to smooth tensions in the crowd without using any violence at all – in fact, all it took, was handing out a few cans of Pepsi to the thirsty ICE agents.

This marks the second time in two weeks that the Jenners have found themselves in the news for all the right reasons, with Kylie Jenner being touted as a ‘girls girl’ for not only revealing she had breast implants, but giving Tik Tok users the name of her plastic surgeon.

It can be confirmed that within minutes of handing out the cans, all the ICE agents could be seen lowering their weapons and even sharing sips of the tasty beverage with some of the protesters they’d been mercilessly beating with batons just moments before.

One agent, who had his knee pressed against the windpipe of a young woman, was quickly snapped out of his trance, as Kendall cooly lifted lifted his head with one finger, and tipped the can of sweet, caramel liquid down his throat.

Peace, at least.

More to come.
