“I Believe The Correct Term Is Unhoused” Inner-City Leftie Tells Bloke Holding Homeless Sign

A local leftie is pleased to reveal that he’s made the world a much better place today, as an ‘unhoused’ bloke sitting in front of Betoota CBD bus station is now aware of the proper term for a man in his condition.

It’s alleged Ben Law, 32 was on his way to work when he spotted the older gentleman holding up a worn, cardboard sign reading ‘homeless, please help.’

But according to Ben, the term ‘homeless’ is no longer a politically correct way to refer to someone living on the streets due to the ‘negative connotations’ associated with the term.

He goes on to explain that this softening of language is needed to allow well off people like him to virtue signal, without actually doing anything to solve the problem.

“Homeless is no longer the correct term. It has far too many negative connotations so we’ll think of a new word which will also end up having negative connotations but when that happens we’ll just change it again”, explains Ben.

“Unhoused is much more inclusive.”

Despite the word ‘unhoused’ sounding arguably more classist than the word homeless, and exactly how the mum from Saltburn would  describe poor people, Ben insists that unhoused is a much more inclusive term

“I haven’t actually asked a homeless person what they think, but I’m sure the terminology is at the forefront of their mind.”

More to come.
