THE SAUDI Ambassador to Australia has expressed his disgust over Clive Palmer’s choice to attend his own party dressed as a “friendly Muslim”.

The rogue hosted his annual “Jurassic Ball” at his infamous “Palmer Coolum Resort” on the Sunshine Coast last night.

The function is a favourite on the Canberra social calender, where politicians let their hair down and mix with mining lobbyists.

“It’s not acceptable to degrade our culture for cheap laughs,” says Saudi Ambassador, Nabil Al Saleh.

“It’s hard to believe he’s a member of parliament.”

Palmer has defended his decision, saying that Australia is built upon freedom and liberty.

“We’re allowed to have a laugh at each other,” says Mr Palmer.

“Casual racism dragged the country out of the great depression.”

The stunt has surprisingly attracted criticism from the conservatives.

“There’s nothing funny about it,” says Queensland MP Bob Katter.

“It’s just plain racist, which has no place in our society.”

Deputy PM and Nationals leader, Warren Truss, was shocked to see Mr Palmer wolfing down pork sliders at the function.

“He was washing down his pork rolls with XXXX Bitter,” says Mr Truss.

“I don’t think he’d even know why that’s offensive to Muslims.”

Palmer has refused to elaborate on the issue, saying that it’s in the past now.

However, he’ll have to face the music when parliament resumes on October 26.
