Dark And Secluded Park The Best Route For Local Woman’s Walk Home, Says Apple Maps

A local woman is starting to suspect her Apple Maps may be trying to get her killed, after repeatedly suggesting the most dangerous possible routes home.

Camilla Manning, 29, is said to still be finding her bearings after moving into a new sharehouse a few weeks ago a process that includes learning which parts of her suburb are best avoided after dark.

Unfortunately for Camilla, her navigation app appears determined to put her in direct contact with all of them.

According to Apple Maps, the ‘best’ way home involves several dimly lit alleyways, a secluded park, and a shortcut past a methadone clinic.

This isn’t the first time the app has led her astray, with Camilla claiming Apple Maps once instructed her to cross a six lane motorway.

She now believes the app may have sinister intentions.

To make matters worse, Camilla says the routes offered aren’t even the quickest.

“I swear it’s trying to kill me,” says Camilla,“It’s not showing me the quickest way home, it’s showing me the quickest way to death. There’s absolutely no reason I should be heading down unlit alleyways at 9pm on a Wednesday night.”

Anita says she brought up the issue with a friend, who responded with a ten minute rant about how she’s ‘an idiot for still using Apple Maps in 2025’ –

Advice Camilla admits she’ll probably ignore until something truly horrific happens.

More to come.
