The National Rugby League has today finally taken action on a growing issue in the game.

After years of deteriorating hair standards across the board, the NRL have drawn a line in the sand.

The Integrity Unit has been told to look into what is going on at the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, after a new haircut broke the camel’s back.

“Yeah, it’s time,” explained NRL supremo Peter V’Landys today.

“That latest chop is just absurd,” he said in regards to the new young hotshot signed to the club, Angus Bowen.

“What the fuck is that?”

“It’s like a bowl cut mullet.”

“And all of this at a club famous for tight fades and top notch barbers.”

The scope of the Integrity Unit’s investigation has yet to be fully revealed, but the Bulldogs have slammed the probe as ‘tall poppy syndrome.’

“It’s clearly an attempt by the NRL to unsettle us,” said the Phil ‘Gus’ Gould this afternoon.

“It’s not a coincidence that this is happening when we are flying high and on a potential premiership run.”

“We won’t be cooperating and we won’t be letting this effect the playing group.”
