The upcoming Reset The West CPAC Conference in Perth has been taken to the next level with confirmation that WA Liberal Party royalty Troy Buswell and a cheap office chair will attend and speak at the conservative roadshow event.

Joining the likes of Shadow Minister Andrew Hastie and Mayor Basil, Buswell and Chair will run joint and separate seminars on how to get the West back on track after a decade or so lost to Labor premiers Mark McGowan and Roger Cook.

In a press release today, Reset The West spokesperson Phil McCracken said that in order for conservatives in Western Australia to move forward, they need to look back and pay their respects to the titans of the movement on which they build.

"We're very pleased to announce Troy Buswell will be speaking at CPAC Perth. He will be running a seminar on which streets in Peppermint Grove are the best for driving down pissed behind the wheel of a comcar, as well as other areas of speciality, such as comedy,"

"Everyone knows the fabled story of the chair. Well, with time, tragedy becomes comedy. Troy will explain what can happen when people don't find something you're doing very funny or to be a joke at all. Then what happens after. Also, how that won't end your career in Perth. That with a bit of moral panache and self-belief, it can actually be a silver lining,"

"Delegates will also hear from a cheap office chair, who will highlight the empowering experienced of being sniffed by a sitting state transport minister and what that can do for the movement in general."

The event will be held at 6.00pm on Friday, 6 March 2026 at the Mercure Perth on Irwin Street, with free entry for CPAC members and $20 tickets for non-members. With tickets reportedly close to selling out amid strong demand, attendees are being urged to secure their place.
