Rugby Australia Assure Fans Everything Is Fine And They’re Just In A Rebuilding Phase

Rugby’s governing body has urged fans not to panic after Saturday’s historic loss to Argentina, telling those concern that they’re simply in a ‘rebuilding phase’ and the team will go back to winning soon.

Rugby Australia CEO Raelene Castle spoke to the media this morning in Sydney, where she outlined that coach Michael Cheika will see out his contract with the Wallabies and that the team will start winning games from now on.

“We’re currently in a rebuilding phase,” she explained.

“After the finals loss to the All Blacks in 2015, we had to take stock and focus on the future. Which I believe the sport and the team have done on the whole. I can look you all in the eye now and say we’re actually going to win the Webb-Ellis next year,”

“Because we are rebuilding. In saying that, construction is almost complete and the team is really maturing and growing closer. Also, if fans could not verbally and physically abuse the players, that would also be great.”

The Advocate reached out to a number of Wallabies players for comment but at the time of print, all of them were running suicide drills and vomited on themselves while Coach Cheika yelled at them through an upturned witches hat.
