‘She Looks…Basic’ Says Woman Trying Really Hard To Downplay To Friend How Hot The New Girl Is

Staring at the image burning on her friend’s phone, local woman Tamara Burkin tries very hard to keep a neutral expression.

“So?”, her friend Skye implores, looking slightly deranged, “what do you think?”

“She’s gorgeous isn’t she?”

There are times your friend needs you to be honest. But when it comes to being shown a photo of the absolute smoke show their ex is now dating, this isn’t one of them.

“Um”, says Tamara, trying to look unimpressed by a woman that Drake would invite to one of his Yacht parties, “hmmm.”

To deny this woman’s obvious appeal would be a step too far, and make it obvious to Skye that Tamara does agree her ex has majorly upgraded in the looks department – so she has to choose her next words very carefully.

“I mean, objectively, yeah, she’s stunning”, Tamara agrees, desperately trying to find a flaw but finding nothing, “she’s not you though.”

“She looks…basic.”

Tamara knows it’s not exactly very feminist of them to pulling apart a girl’s looks to feel better about themselves, but it’s a safe space here.”

“Oh god yes totally! So basic!”
