OOO ORGANIC ROASTED NUTS: A local woman’s carefully planned savings goals have been derailed after a casual trip to her local health food store where she accidentally descend into the depths of the nut section.

Sophie Jenkins (31) had every intention of sticking to her budget this month—until she found herself wandering past rows of artisanal almonds and raw macadamias.

What was meant to be a quick stop for some chia seeds turned into a full-blown financial meltdown as Sophie was lured in by the siren song of premium mixed nuts.

“I don’t know what happened,” Sophie sighed, clutching a paper bag filled with organic pistachios that cost more than her monthly gym membership. “One minute I was calculating my savings for Bali, and the next, I’m filling up on activated walnuts like I’m Gwyneth Paltrow.”

Despite promising herself she’d never pay $30 for a handful of roasted almonds, Sophie crumbled under the weight of the health food store’s sleek, eco-friendly packaging and claims of ‘good fats.’

“I guess my trip to Bali can wait,” she told Betoota. “At least I’ll be snacking on cashews fit for royalty.” Sophie’s savings account is now as dry as the dehydrated coconut flakes she regretfully purchased.

More to come.
