The once demoralised and cursed Wests Tigers have started the 2026 NRL season with an unprecedented five wins out of seven.
They are currently tied with the Penrith Panthers at the top of the ladder.
They are playing exciting and creative football, in front of sold out stadiums of long-dormant fans.
With Benji Marshall, the rugby league visionary who won them their last premiership as a star player, now in the role of coach - The Wests Tigers could very well win the Premiership.
And after last night's antics, they deserve to.
Because not only did the Tiggies dismantle the Canberra Raiders with a 33-14 final scoreline, but their fans took the NRL banter to a new level of hilarious pettiness.
On a sold out hill at Leichardt Oval, the gold and black army have made it clear that they are now happy with being cocky.
They did this by ridiculing the travelling Raiders fans with a 'Tiger Clap' - parodying the sacred 12-year-old Canberra tradition that was stolen from the Icelandic soccer team.
Today it can be confirmed by NRL fans from every club, except the Raiders, that the Tiger Clap was very funny - and hopefully makes another couple appearances as the mighty Wests Tigers begin preparations for an undefeated finals dash.
