South Betoota Polytechnic's Humanities Department has today released an interesting report.
The monthly report about the state of the social media and internet landscape, has recommended that now is a pretty good time to keep an eye on your digital consumption.
Following the horrific events of the weekend, the report explained that unless it's your job, spending too much time on the internet is not a good idea for a while.
"Just get off the fucking algo for a bit aye," said the lead researcher of the report.
"The dopamine hits from the bullshit the algo feeds you prey on your emotions isn't good for you."
"Generally spending too much time on the internet is not recommended to be honest," the researcher continued.
"But particularly in a climate like this."
"We'd strongly recommend limiting consumption."
"If you can, get out and breathe some fresh air, touch some grass, or just park up and watch some cricket if that's your thing."
"Obviously it's good to be across the news and in comms with your friends and family, but you don't need to make 40 minutes disappear on a social platform that is driven by interaction which is driven by strong feelings which compel people to interact."
"Watching AI slop and then fighting with people in the comments is not helpful to anyone, let alone yourself."
"Just put the phone down for a bit."
