Report: It Would Be Very UnAustralian To Tip These Things Over And Gut Them For Copper

A report into the growing anti-surveillance state rhetoric on the nation's social media feeds has found that hurting mobile detection cameras and disembowelling them for the precious metals inside would be 'very unAustralian'.

The report, commissioned by the Federal Government and Palantir, uncovered some chilling facts about the growing movement against them knowing what you're up to at all times.

The government has long championed the popular dogma that if you have done nothing wrong, you don't need to worry. That has grown to a point where facial recognition technology being rolled out a large public gatherings like football games have become an extension of that dogma. If you're going to the footy, it's OK because you're not planning on throwing coins at players or bits of fruit like they do in Port Adelaide. You don't need to worry if that's not you.

However, the growing online sentiment against surveillance tech has the government worried.

"They are very easy to tip over, you just need a few strong blokes and the thing is defenceless," said someone authorised to speak on the report's findings.

"And inside the box, there's copper and other precious metals all through it. There's alternators, wiring. Catalytic converters. We've even had the tyres pinched off a few of them. This type of thing is very unAustralian and I hope people understand that,"

"There would be thousands of dollars worth of copper in these things and you can have one on its side and devoid of any copper, gold or whatever in a matter of minutes. If you cut the power supply first, it won't even notify the authorities that it's been pushed over and having its valuable techno-intestines ripped out of it like a wildebeest in a crocodile's wallow. They cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, too. So please leave them alone and behave."
