The mighty Canberra Raider have delivered one of the most sensational matches of football for the 2025 season, in what footy commentators and fans have immediate dubbed ‘The Miracle Of Mudgee’.

In the pissing rain of central-west New South Wales, Ricky Stuart’s team of misfits and write-offs made sure that Australia will remember the Raiders.

It was a golden point victory that appeared completely out of reach, as Penrith Panthers captain Nathan Cleary lined up a field goal from 20 metres out in the 83rd minute.

After a decade of pain and grit, the Raiders have only managed to gain momentum with two more weeks until NRL finals begins.

They’ve sat at the top of the table all season, and beaten every team they needed to beat.

It is now at the point where every single rugby league fan that isn’t making the finals is ready to start wearing the lime green.

Right around the rugby league world today, there is one rhetorical question being asked around workplaces and kitchen tables.
