Match officials in tonight’s Matilda’s World Cup Semifinal loss to England have been criticised for their decision to change the ball midway through the second half.
The ball was allegedly booted out of shape by Australian Sam Kerr as she scored the equalising goal early after the restart.
The referees came together and decided to change the ball with what Australian officials are calling a much newer and less worn one that aided England win through with two goals.
