YouTube are you watching

A local man’s attempt to nurse a brutal hangover with six hours of uninterrupted Youtube content was tragically interrupted this morning when the site asked the one question he wasn’t emotionally prepared to answer, “Are you still watching?”

Connor Black (27), who awoke on his couch wearing one sock and a wristband for an unknown venue, had just entered hour four of a carefully curated spiral that began with “Gordon Ramsay Losing It” and somehow led to “Top 10 Abandoned Water Parks.”

“Things were going well” Connor admitted, sipping a flat mcdonalds cup of Fanta.

“I had my hoodie over my eyes, the laptop on my chest, and some guy narrating a train documentary. Then it just... happened”

According to witnesses (his housemates Cat), the moment the pop-up appeared, Connor physically flinched.

“It was so aggressive” Sam explained.

“Like YouTube wasn’t asking, it was accusing.”

Experts say the “Are You Still Watching?” prompt is responsible for over 70% of next-day shame spirals, second only to seeing the DMs you sent off the night before.

After the ordeal, Connor had resumed watching but was keeping one hand hovered near the trackpaad, just in case YouTube tried to shame him again.
