Australia’s newest sporting starlet has today spoken to The Advocate about his journey to the F1.

In an exclusive sit down, Piastri offered up an interesting insight into how he has found his feet so quickly in the world of racing.

“Bro, compared to learning to drive around Melbs (Melbourne), the F1 is chill haha,” said the young man who was raised in Australia’s most European city.

Oscar’s comment come as the young man sits atop the F1 Driver’s Championship standings after the Spanish Gran Prix, as the drive to survive intensifies.

“Like, Monaco and Barca are a cake walk compared to trying to turn across multiple lanes of traffic before an oncoming tram with your mum sharply inhaling and grabbing the Jesus handle.”

“That teaches you skills, it teaches you elite decision making, and it teaches you how to perform under pressure.”

“The team radio is nothing compared to mum berating you with a high pitched voice and demanding you pull over to the side of the road RIGHT NOW.”

“Honestly, forget Go Carts and all that shit, just get young up and comers to spin around Melbs to begin their careers.”

“Will set you up for success.”

More to come.
