Dining out with children can be a challenge at the best of times, let alone when the menu betrays you.

Kyle and Amanda Ridges were out for dinner at their local this week, upon arrival their 8 year old daughter Samantha mentioned that she couldn’t see the chicken nuggets on the menu.

“Normally this wouldn’t be a problem, but our 6 year old Shaun absolutely spat it. He was throwing things and screaming. I don’t even know why. He’d been saying all day that he wanted the fish and chips.” regaled Amanda with exasperation.

“All I wanted was a nice night out, I really hate that our daughter can read now. Not that I hate that she’s growing up, it’s just much harder to deceive her”

The restaurant has since changed the menu back after the carnage they’d experienced, with a Facebook post stating “The old kids menu is back!”.

Seemingly the display put on by young Shaun was big enough to effect real change.
