Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has demonstrated of relatable politicians are to everyday shit kickers by accidentally leaving her wallet at home before heading out for lunch.

“D’oh!” she said as she slapped her forehead lightly.

“I forgot my wallet. Can someone spot me for lunch?”

That somehow has been revealed as the Australian taxpayer.

“Can the Commonwealth get this one? Queensland doesn’t get paid until next Thursday, so I can hit you back then? I totally didn’t leave my wallet at home on purpose,”

“Serious.”

As she looked around the lunch table down at the Port Office down the road, Palaszczuk’s Chief-of-Staff just sighed and got the state’s low-rate credit card out and tapped it.

“Oh wow!” laughed Palaszczuk.

“It still works. OK everybody, let’s get back to work getting the South East Corner back on track!”

More to come.
