Young Australian sporting superstar Oscar Piastri is one step giant step closer to greatness, it can be confirmed today.

This comes after Piastri led from start to finish at the Dutch Grand Prix overnight, banking the maximum amount of points possible.

The win extended his lead for the Formula 1 drivers’ championship to 34 points.

And importantly, his closest rival Lando Norris didn’t finish the race.

The huge blow to his team mate followed Piastri playing a perfectly time banana skin, to send Norris skidding out of the race.

Speaking to The Advocate about the crucial play, Piastri said he didn’t feel bad at all.

“Nah dude, Lando’s been at me all season,” laughed the young Melbournese man.

“So I just thought this was the perfect time to let the banana skin rip,” said Piastri, who picked the Mario Kart item earlier in the race.

“And it cooked him haha.”

“Suck shit Lando.”

“Now I’ve got a good controller you’re done son.”

More to come.
