The nation's federal Opposition has this week left the nation scratching its head.
After a month of screaming for urgent legislation to combat anti-semitism, Liberals Leader Sussan Ley has now revealed she won't vote for that urgently tabled legislation.
This comes following a prolonged period of demanding parliament be rushed back early to pass said legislation, which her party is now set to block.
The confusing move has left the government in a bit of a pickle, with parliament to come back next week to pass these laws.
The proposed changes to the hate laws have also been shot down by the Greens, who want them expanded to included other minorities like the LGBTQI community.
Of course One Nation is absolutely filthy about the proposed changes, which would potentially see Pauline's entire political play book come under threat.
Opposition Leader Sussan Ley says the changes to the laws are 'unsalvageable' even though the likes of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry (ECAJ) are pleading for the Coalition to work on amendments.
Ley and her colleagues have yet to confirm whether the proposed changes to the hate laws, which they frenziedly demanded for weeks, are being blocked because they will potentially adversely effect them and their current brand of politics.
More to come.
