It's official, Pauline Hanson's high-watermark will remain in late January 2026, as the Coalition draws level with One Nation in the first polls since a change of leadership within the Federal Opposition.
The best One Nation will do in this political term was on January 23, when voter surveys showed primary votes of Labor 30%, One Nation 24%, the Coalition 21%, Greens 13% and Others at 12%.
For a brief moment, both Hanson and her new recruit Barnaby Joyce were willing to believe that Australia's stabilised democratic processes of mandatary and preferential voting were no longer barriers - and that One Nation had become a 'major party'.
Their surge in popularity came off the back of internal undermining of the Liberal Party's first female leader, Sussan Ley, who also somehow manage to bungle her response to the Bondi terrorist attacks.
In true Pauline fashion, this honeymoon period took place a good three years before the next Federal election, giving both her and her grogmonster Deputy Barnaby Joyce plenty of opportunity to blow the lead.
And that's just what they've done, with Hanson misreading the public sentiment spectacularly last week by delving further into political extremism and declaring there was no such thing as good Muslims.
This has almost certainly destroyed Barnaby's chances of winning an upper house seat in NSW, and has resulted in fierce condemnation from even the most redneck members of the Liberal and National Parties.
Furthermore, the Sky News-poisoned voter base of radicalised baby boomers have also lost interest - as it becomes clear that they were only supporting Pauline Hanson as preferred Prime Minister because, when given the a choice between two right-wing female leaders, they are obviously going to pick the one that says the most racist stuff on breakfast TV.
Now with the Federal Opposition being led by a young stud from the fertile soil of the NSW south-west slopes, the Sky News boomers can return to worrying about protecting their tax-loopholes and property investments, because Pauline Hanson was only a temporary saviour until the Liberals pulled their finger out and handed the job over to a man.
MORE TO COME.
