The Brisbane Broncos have won the NRLW grand final 22-18 against the Sydney Roosters in a neck-and-neck thriller, with Mele Hufanga breaking the line in the final minutes to wrap things up for The River City.
This follows last weekend’s exciting AFL grand final victory for the Brisbane Lions, and precedes the Broncos men’s side’s own title match against the Melbourne Storm this evening.
The Broncos led 12-0 at half time, but the Roosters fought back to lead 18-12 mid way through the second half.
This wasn’t for long, as the Broncos NRLW side showed turned it back in their favour once again, with coach Scotty Prince going wild in the box.
One down, says Brissy.
