The Australian gymnastic team has reportedly scouted a potential prodigy in the unassuming suburbs of Logan.

11 year old Jayden, who can regularly be seen doing backflips in his backyard on an old-school trampoline that was built before they started making them safe, complete with two mysterious slits torn into the outer edges, has caught the attention of some of Australian gymnastics greatest.

"We really think this kid could be the next big thing, just in time for the Brisbane Olympics" said the Director of  Gymnastics Australia.

"He could be to Brisbane what Cathy was to Sydney" he added

Jayden has become a light of hope in the Australian gymnastics world, after decades of American, Chinese and Russian domination.

Talent scouts first became aware of Jayden after a neighbour uploaded grainy footage of him attempting a triple backflip while holding a Zooper Dooper and avoiding the slits in his trampoline that date back to 2019.

The clip, which has since received over two million views online, impressed officials with Jayden's fearlessness, spatial awareness and apparent immunity to serious injury.

"Most elite gymnasts train for years in specialised facilities with foam pits and professional supervision." said the spokesperson for Gymnastics Australia.

"Jayden learned everything from older cousins and severe peer preasure"

"That's the type of pressure cooker that creates gold medals"

Locals say the young athlete spends up to six hours every weekend bouncing shirtless under the Queensland sun while his mates kick footy balls at him to dodge.
