A slightly immature local adult has unfortunately gained access to an artillery of words that should only really be thrown around be trained professionals.

Tim, or Timothy to his family and friends, would have once been described as 'hard work' - or someone who had 'a chip on his shoulder' - but in 2026, his difficult personality can not only be diagnosed, but also blamed on other people.

Despite being raised in a warm and loving middle class household, Timothy was a middle child of middling intelligence. This caused a hint of bitterness, which when under pressure, can come across like outward resentment towards those around him.

Some would say, due to his annoying and draining personality, Timothy was a little spoilt by his parents - who were just trying to give him a happy life.

This made things worse, as it ended up stifling his work ethic - meaning that not only is he bitter, but he's also lazy.

Luckily, in recent years, social media has presented him with plenty of ways to justify and explain both his unpleasant vibes and exhausting attitude.

Words like 'gaslighting', 'trigger', 'attachment style', 'self care' and 'boundaries' are used not just freely, but incorrectly - as Timothy's ramps up the psychobabble to vaguely imply that his childhood was a cruel and cold existence.

One would be forgiven for thinking that his hard-working self-employed father was absent for Timothy's most formative years. His bubbly and loving mother also comes across as an emotionally abusive helicopter parent.

Similar scenes have taken place in hundreds of thousands of living rooms around the country, as annoying grown up 'middle childs' spend too much time staring into complex social media algorithms that affirm their unjustified grievances, and professionalise their generally miserable outlook.

When asked if this kind of pop-psyche language has actually brought him any peace, Timothy says what a lot of people don't realise is that 'inner peace' is actually a privilege.

And as someone that was born via C-section, he will never know inner peace because of the disruptions that Caesarean childbirths cause the microbial colonisation.
