Local Gen-X mum Amanda Yates (48) has declared, “Nothing good happens after 12am”. This statement comes from a woman whose youthful exploits included raving to The Prodigy in abandoned warehouses for three days straight without a wink of sleep.

Amanda, now a respectable mother of three and head of the P&C committee at her youngest daughter’s high school, has been vocal about her new mantra during recent neighborhood gatherings. Her declaration was met with raised eyebrows from friends who remember her days chewing her jaw off to trashy Euro-dance music in dilapidated warehouses in 1996.

Karen’s eldest, Amy (21), who’s also recently gotten into raving, was the first to highlight the irony after being told off for coming home too late.

“Every single time I meet one of mum’s old friends I’m reminded of how much of a party animal she used to be in the 90s” Amy lamented.

“It’s almost as if she thinks I havn’t seen her old photo albums”

More to come.
