One of the three hundred Roosters fans still living in the Eastern Suburbs has decided he's not going to let these Newcastle hicks outdo his business.

Samuel Schulz (59), operator of a beloved gourmet butcher in Sydney's East, has decided to jump on the coloured sausages trend currently taking over Newy.

"While our clientele may not be used to the coloured sausage trend, we've made sure to keep up with their more sophisticated taste, by dying our hand tied porchetta"

"You've never had a free-range boneless pork in the tri-colour before, I bet"

The Woollahra meat purveyor says hopefully this gimmick raises awareness amongst customers that their local club is actually in the 2026 NRL grand final.

“It can be difficult around here. You walk down New South Head Road and half the suburb is wearing linen and talking about the Swans or the Wallabies”

The $74 per kilo porchettas will also feature alternating bands of red, white and blue butcher’s twine topped with a roosers flag.

The promotion follows the Craig Cook Natural Butcher in Kotara making headlines this week for selling blue and red sausages ahead of the Knights grand final appearance, sparking a tidal wave of visually intimidating dyed logs of meat.

Victor Churchill staff say they are confident the porchetta will give Eastern Suburbs residents a suitable way to show support without having to wear a jersey in public.

Customers can also purchase a matching truffle mustard, for an additional $32.
